Aircraft fuel systems started with gravity systems that had only four parts. Now we have complex turbine engine systems with three types of pumps, several types of filters, a crossfeed system, pressure return lines, bottom pressure refueling with digital readouts, and all going into, or out of, several different tanks at the same time. This program introduces the basics of aircraft fuels, fuel system types, the components found in the fuel system and the basics of maintenance and inspection of the aircraft fuel system.
