Physics for Aviation - Part 1

This three-part course provides an overview of the physics for aviation, including the basic concepts of physics that build the foundation of the systems required to know to pass the AET certification, as well the concepts of physics that are integral to the operation and maintenance of aircraft. Note: We recommend completing part one of the series before taking parts two and three. This first part of the series explores physics concepts that serve as the foundation for the systems that are presented later This study begins by defining matter and examining its characteristics. We can then move on to examine energy, force, work, power, and torque. The concepts we have discussed so far can be applied to simple machines. We complete this program by studying stress and strain. The information presented in this course is from Avotek’s Aviation Mechanic–General textbook, which is available for purchase through Avotek.com.
